San Francisco’s Dream Wedding

We are so happy to be a part of a really special day for 2 deserving people.  Just one month ago on Friday May 14, 2010, a U.S. Air Force officer battling stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma married her long time sweetheart (also an officer in the Air Force) in an over the top wedding which was 100% DONATED to the couple by local San Francisco businesses. We, along with 42 other amazing sponsors donated our time, rentals, and services to help make this one lucky couple’s dream come true as they were got married in San Francisco.

Currently residing in Virginia, Vanessa Muza Teskey and husband Mike Hawkins, were one of 350 contestants in The San Francisco Dream Wedding Giveaway. The producers felt they were by far the most inspirational couple, and the public couldn’t agree more with they overwhelming online votes for Vanessa and Mike.

From the venue to the gown, the food to the flowers and our designer linen rentals, the 6 piece party band to the custom designed wedding rings, this wedding was valued at over $100,000.00.

The wedding took place at the Hotel Vitale, just off one of San Francisco’s most popular tourist spots on the Embarcadero.  Not only did they have views of the gorgeous city including the Ferry Building, but also of SF’s amazing Bay.

Months of planning was involved to make this event as success.  Amy from Twitterpated Weddings took the reign as planner and coordinator for the event.  From start to end, the day was perfect… They spent the earlier part of the day taking amazing photos around the heart of downtown San Francisco.
The Ceremony took place on the upper deck of the hotel overlooking the city.  They looked absolutely magical surrounded by amazing scenery and their closest family and friends.
Cake Coquette made this delicious cake while The Flirty Bride created the custom cake topper.
The Bride’s colors were Silver and a light sunflower Yellow for a modern and spring feel.   Nancy Liu Chin and Branch Out Floral Design added their floral touches to the tables and ceremony site.
Kathryn of Dream A Little Dream provided this inspiration board for Vanessa and Mike to show us a little of the original design concepts.
