An Adorable Feature on Style Me Pretty

We couldn’t be more thrilled to be featured on Style Me Pretty today, not only because  it’s the most adorable baby shower ever for our good friend Viola and Phillip from chewing the cud, but one of our very own Wildflower Linen gals helped to host it!

The shower was held at Viola’s urban chic home in San Francisco and was hosted by some of her favorite people ever…Priska and Lisa of Atelier Joya, Stacy McCainwho did the coordination, Lily Yeung at Wildflower Linen and the cute girls at Gertrude and Mabel who snapped the pics.

Lisa and Stacy came up with the idea of a 3-Ringed Circus with elephants being the main attraction.  To keep the concept more playful, fun and fitting for a girl baby shower, they selected a color palette of blush pink, bright pink, mint green and white.  While brainstorming ideas and design concepts at our San Francisco showroom, the girls came across the geometric pink and white patterned linen (part of our new 2010 collection) and knew the the modern twist was perfect for the shower.  The pattern became a pivotal inspirational piece for the whole shower.  It was actually incorporated in everything from the invitations, elephant cut out, game cards and many of the graphic details at the shower (with many of the paper materials were of course created by Viola herself)!

Hovering over the savory and sweet treat station was  a 12 ft tall custom-designed canopy inspired by traditional vintage circus tents.  Everything from hand cut-out elephants,   geometric printed paper chains and hand made strands of white pom-pom flowers to streamers in shades of pinks and white and handmade yarn pom-poms could be found suspended overhead.

Guests enjoyed a host of yummy treats including: apple & cheddar and cucumber & cream cheese tea sandwiches, scones, cheesecake, homemade mini cupcakes, strawberry shortbread cakes,  and a variety of seasonal fruits in pink and green hues.  Priska and Lisa from Atelier Joya also created beautiful floral pieces that were wrapped in yarn and filled with  pink, peach and orange ranunculus! They were scrumptious and a prefect compliment to the delicious treats!
